Think of it as a slightly classier, fruit-forward version of a Long Island. Nobody knows where this bash-in-the-head of a cocktail came from (many attribute it to being the University of Alabama football team's signature drink which, uh, sure), but it's pragmatic and lends itself very nicely to being made in a pitcher.

Given the casual nature of the drink, there are a couple differing recipes -- the most common of which calls for no vodka whatsoever, and considerably less orange juice. This one (two parts OJ, one part SoCo, one part amaretto, one part sloe gin) is definitely the strongest iteration of it in terms of potency, and is worth trying out if you're looking for a denser fix.

If you enjoyed this recipe, you should , share it on facebook, or save it on pocket. Thanks!
