Chilcano

Ginger ale 12.0cl 4.0oz
Pisco 7.5cl 2.5oz
Simple syrup 1.5cl 0.5oz
Lime half
Angostura bitters Two drops
Use ounces
Use centiliters

Directions

  1. Mix the Pisco and juice of 1/2 a lime in a tall glass, add simple syrup if desired.
  2. Add 4 or more cubes of ice, and top off with ginger ale.
  3. Add 2 drops Angostura bitter.
  4. Stir.
  5. Garnish.

Information

January 11-17 is officially Chilcano week in Peru; the drinks are generally enjoyed socially, in a similar context as lemonade (or, more aptly, G&Ts.) Peru this week has a great writeup of the drink's origin.
