Christmas Sour

Fragant, warm, and quintessentially Christmas-y.

Bourbon 3.0cl 1.0oz
Cranberry juice 3.0cl 1.0oz
Cinnamon schnapps 1.5cl 0.5oz
Triple sec 1.5cl 0.5oz
Apple juice 1.5cl 0.5oz
Angostura bitters One dash
Use ounces
Use centiliters


  1. Add all ingredients to shaker with ice.
  2. Shake, then stir.
  3. Strain and enjoy.


Fragrant and quintessentially Christmas-y. Make sure to get cranberry juice (exactly what it sounds like) and not cranberry cocktail (chock-full of sugar.)

If you really want to make it as festive as possible:

  • Use Goldschlager as the cinnamon schnapps to enhance the aesthetics.
  • Substitute out the Angostura bitters for some mulling spice bitters. You can make them easily (recipe below), but it takes a while:

Mulling Spice Bitters

1 cup 100 proof vodka, 1/4 cup bulk mulling spices. Let sit for 2 weeks in a jar, shaking once daily. Strain and filter.
