Directions

  1. Pour scotch and lime juice into ice-filled collins glass.
  2. Lightly stir.
  3. Top it off with ginger ale.

Information

Adapted from Albert Stevens Crockett's 1935 Old Waldorf Bar Days. The drink first appeared in the New York Herald some thirty years prior to Crockett writing his book. The namesake of the drink -- a certain Mrs. Taylor -- is still unknown.
